Our vision is to meet the needs of all students in a safe, respectful, and responsible learning community.
Contact
We are nurturing the minds of young learners, preparing them for future success.
We are proud of our many curriculum offerings, as well as the great accomplishments of our students. The success of our students is a reflection of the quality of education our staff continues to provide. Our teachers’ continued efforts to embrace and implement new programs and state mandates are the reason why our district is able to make progress. The district looks to the future as it embraces the ever-changing landscape of education and as well as maintaining financial stability, strong leadership, and quality education.
Our School
Longfellow Primary is one of two primary schools in the Sidney City School district serving students in grades K-2.
Longfellow has five grade-level teachers for each grade as well as interventionists, music and art teachers, a dedicated speech and language pathologist, occupational and physical therapists, and a dedicated school counselor.
Students participate in a specials schedule that allows them the opportunity to learn more in the areas of art, music, library, physical education, and counseling/social-emotional learning.
Principal's Message
I look forward to partnering with you as we "inspire, empower, and
prepare our students for their best future!"Welcome to Longfellow Primary School. I am excited to meet and learn about all the new and old members of our school family. Longfellow Primary has a reputation of outstanding traditions. Using these traditions and wonderful staff we will continue to strive to meet the needs of all students to become the best school we can be.
My name is Michelle Link and I am the new principal at Longfellow. While this is my first year at Longfellow, I have been in education for 16 years. I am eager to learn about the traditions of Longfellow and how we can work together to create a positive school-family partnership. This year our theme is One Hive, Growing Greatness. Together as a school family, we can work together to help grow greatness in all students.
We encourage you to visit our schools and engage with us. To stay informed please also check the school website, follow Sidney City Schools on social media, and talk to your child about all they are learning.
Please feel free to reach out to me for any questions about your child’s education.
In Jacket Pride,
Michelle Link
