To become involved with the Little Jackets PTO, parents/guardians are encouraged to volunteer, attend meetings, be present at school functions, and help their child participate in school fundraisers.

Fundraisers - support your child's school by supporting school-sponsored fundraisers. 

Over the last several years, the PTO has helped raise funds to support student and staff activities and purchase supplies and materials for the schools. Past support examples include:

• Author, illustrator, artist, and musician program/visits
• COSI visits
• Christmas gifts for students
• Playground equipment
• Props/supplies for student plays/musicals
• Clinic supplies
• Field trip transportation
• Teacher stipends to support learning expenses within the classroom
• Teacher appreciation efforts
• And so much more!

To become involved with the Junior Jackets PTO, parents/guardians are encouraged to volunteer, attend meetings, be present at school functions, and help their child participate in school fundraisers. 

SMS Junior Jackets PTO was newly formed starting with the 2021-2022 school year. Junior Jackets PTO is working to support student and staff activities and purchase supplies and materials for Sidney Middle School. Past support examples include:

• Teacher stipends to support learning expenses within the classroom
• Providing input on positive school culture
• Supporting school activities like dances
• Teacher appreciation efforts

Because the group is newly formed, efforts are still underway for more fundraising events.
