Transportation
The Transportation Department is responsible for the daily operation of the district's 21 buses and 4 vans. They coordinate and supervise the safe transportation of approximately 1,000 students over 1,250 total miles every school day.
Sidney City Schools provides bussing transportation to students who live 2 or more miles from their school. Transportation is not provided for students who are open enrolled among the elementary schools.
Returning families who believe their child may qualify for transportation must complete their online enrollment forms through PowerSchool. The Transportation Department routing software pulls data from PowerSchool; if your records are not updated in PowerSchool, it may impact your eligibility for transportation.
If you are a family who is new to the district, you will have an opportunity to indicate interest in transportation eligibility on the Transportation Form included in the PowerSchool enrollment forms.
Notices about transportation for riders will be sent out via email from the transportation system in August prior to the start of school; cards will not be mailed as they have been in the past.
Should you have questions about transportation qualifications or route information, please call the Transportation Department at 937-497-2206.
